We were in the first weeks of 2022 when Filipa and Hugo, the power duo behind the multidisciplinary Porto based studio FAHR 021.3 , asked us to help them design a new strategy for their business.

FAHR was on the verge of completing ten years and was by then a project that grew organically, having an outstanding international reach.

The first challenge was to find a precise positioning for their practice. Both founders are architects, and architecture informs their process and work. Still, what they do is not architecture (sometimes they design buildings, though) and is closer to public art, urban intervention, sculpture and, in a more dematerialized way, philosophy and critical thinking.

The second challenge was to define priorities for their business model, which includes commissions for artwork, project management of multidisciplinary interventions, consultancy and architecture.

The third challenge was to organize the studio communication, firstly by setting up a methodology to organize their archive, secondly by creating a comprehensive strategy to disseminate the body of work, to reach out to their different publics and to engage a broader community of urban thinkers in a fruitful discussion around their working topics.

After completing this project, FAHR 021.3 asked us to help implement the communication strategy. Our team now supports part of the studio's reenergized social media presence.
